President Trump confirms death of Charlie Kirk after Utah shooting: “Loved and admired by all”

The conservative movement has been left reeling after President Donald Trump announced that Charlie Kirk, 31, has died from injuries sustained in Wednesday’s shooting at Utah Valley University.

Trump’s Heartfelt Tribute
In a solemn message on Truth Social late Wednesday, Trump broke the devastating news:

“The Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk, is dead. No one understood or had the Heart of the Youth in the United States of America better than Charlie. He was loved and admired by ALL, especially me, and now, he is no longer with us. Melania and my Sympathies go out to his beautiful wife Erika, and family. Charlie, we love you!”

The post confirmed what supporters had been fearing since Kirk was rushed into emergency surgery after being shot in the neck during a Q&A with students.

A Movement in Mourning
Kirk, the CEO of Turning Point USA, had become one of the most prominent voices of conservatism on college campuses, rallying students with fiery speeches and unapologetic defense of his beliefs. Just hours before the shooting, he had posted enthusiastically about his “American Comeback Tour” kicking off in Utah.

Now, his wife Erika, their two young children, and a nationwide following are left grieving the sudden loss.

A Life Cut Short
At only 31, Kirk had already built a powerful brand around youth activism and conservative politics. He was widely regarded as a bridge between the Republican Party and a new generation of students.

Reactions poured in instantly:

Vice President JD Vance called Kirk “a genuinely good guy and a young father whose absence will be felt by millions.”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene described him as “a husband, father, and friend who stood boldly for God and country.”
Gov. Gavin Newsom, a Democrat, condemned the attack as “vile political violence that robs families, communities, and the nation.”

A National Shock
Meanwhile, supporters across the country have been gathering online to share tributes, memories, and prayers for Kirk’s family.

What began as a student rally in Orem, Utah has now become a moment of national tragedy, with one of the conservative movement’s youngest and most recognizable leaders gone far too soon.
